Sorry, i'm not a PAM expert, but from where do you want to get the password of 
the user?
You will receive a request with (Proxy-) Authorization header and you have to 
recalculate the response. For that you need either the password of the user 
or the precalculated H(A1). But AFAIK you will not get the password from PAM.
