That is not an error. if it's not defined it falls back to the available 
versions. it's just an informational message and can be ignored.

that is not necessary and will require that you update that file whenever 
the default python version changes. if nothing is specified will always 
use the default python version at the moment the package is built. that 
is the intention behind it and many other python packages use the same 
technique.
