I'm unsure.

- The fix is only required for Perl 5.10, which was released December 18th,
  while OpenSER 1.3 was released December 13th. :)
- While I suppose that the fix is OK, I'm not 100% sure about it.

How about waiting for a week or two, and do the backport then?

Perl 5.10 is not yet spread widely.
