[Kamailio-Devel] SCTP port binding problem

i'm returning to an old thread from january this year.  the problem is
that kamailio is not able to bind to sctp listening socket, but reports:

Aug 23 15:22:10 lenny /usr/sbin/kamailio[9511]: ERROR:core:sctp_server_init: socket: Socket type not supported [94] 

however, binding works fine AFTER i have started (and stopped) sctp test
daemon:

root at lenny# sctp_darn -H 0 -P 2500 -l
sctp_darn listening...
^C

this is with debian lenny.

any idea why kamailio sctp server cannot start without first starting
sctp_darn sctp server?

i'll try to compare if there is some difference in sctp_darn and
kamailio bind function call.
