Summary: Benchmarking module

Initial Comment:
Hi,

the attached module "benchmark" provides functionality very similar to the core's "(set|diff|..)_time_stamp" functions. While it provides only microsecond accuracy, it adds MI functions for enabling and disabling as well as an API to be used by module developers.

This module is intended to be used by developers rather than by regular users. Module documentation is available in the doc directory.

  Bastian

The module was refurbished to include nanoseconds accuracy upon
compilation option. Also, the timers are identified by string name and have
no number limitation. Internal API extended with register time function. I
introduced a pseudo-variable that returns the latest time difference.

All in SVN now.

As future improvements might be exporting all statistics in benchmarck as
pseudo variables and let the admin decide what to print to syslog.
