The svn download section on the openser.org website should be updated.
 Here's the right way to checkout the source from the svn repo:

SVN download of development version (HEAD):
svn co https://openser.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/openser/trunk/ openser

SVN download of development version (HEAD) (specific revision):
svn co -r <your_rev>
https://openser.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/openser/trunk/ openser
