Hi All,

We are running OSP module benchmark test. The OSP module itself should be ok. We had run it in product environments for months without any problem.

When we run the test at 20 calls/sec, 30 calls/sec and 35 calls/sec rates for 1 hour, all calls completed. But when we run the test at 40 calls/sec for 1 hour, with 20 child processes, only 500 calls completed, with 50 child processes, only 1600 calls completed. In so tests, OpenSER cored.

We had tried use a faster OpenSER host. The OpenSER processes only used less than 5% CPU. But the results are same. The shared memory also should not be a problem, we used "-m 128" and openserctl reported max shared memory used was around 60M.

Some test info:
OpenSER 1.1 reversion 1907
Source and destination SIPp

In syslog, there were many messages like these
Apr 11 03:12:10 centos4 ./openser[13439]: ----ROUTE: Too many hops, BYE from 'sip:sipp at 172.16.4.58:5060' to 'sip:9876543210 at 172.16.4.32:5060'
Apr 11 03:12:10 centos4 ./openser[13364]: WARNING: set_timer for 1 list called on a "detached" timer -- ignoring: 0xb018cbe4

We do not have any clue about what caused the limit. Any suggestion is welcome.

Thanks,

Di-Shi Sun.
