i would like to publish presence information according to

RFC 3903 - Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Extension for Event State
	Publication

is that what you have in mind when you refer to SIMPLE?

this module needs to be enhanced to include Event, Content-Type and
SIP-If-Match parameters as well as return SIP-ETag if SIP-If-Match was
empty. see

that is good to hear.  i just heard from ser folks that ser presence
server does not support message-summary event type either.  their
suggestion was to implement a new presence server for that purpose,
which does not sound a very good idea from user's point of view.
