So what do you eventually suggest? I'd say that it doesn't make much 
sense to exactly copy load_gws(), from_gw() and to_gw() and its 
corresponding tables just to give the group id another meaning...

Another possibility would be to not overload the lcr module too much and 
just add the ip checks to the dispatcher module...
