   I am still hitting my head against the wall with this one.<br>

It seems that re.<span style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% yellow;" class="J-JK9eJ-PJVNOc">substr</span> does not interpret any of 
the following:<br>
<br>
\r, \n, \012, \015, etc.....<br>
<br>
There is no way for me to match control characters.<br>
<br>
If you guys know what I am doing wrong it would be very much appreciated
 with any input you can provide, thanks!<br>
