iirc, you can just achieve the pretty much same by doing the dlg bridge rpc command from dialog module. The version from cdt.sh is breaking down in tm commands to send SIP requests, you can convert it to rpc, the commands should be there. The dialog variant does all internally.

probably not. The RPC method was changed during the years, I think. The commands of course could be ported e.g. to use another RPC method (with maybe a few changes from the OpenSER/Kamailio/siprouter migration).
