Dear OpenSER Users

I would like some info about the XMPP gateway feature, I do have a running XMPP server ejabbard, and I would like to use a client that uses both XMPP and SIP. So I am setting up the OpenSER server and I noticed the XMPP gateway feature.

What does it do ?

I what scenarios can it be applied ?
