can the db_cluster module be used to all DB connections?

if today i set for example "modparam("dialplan", db_url", DBURL)" i will be able to use  "modparam("dialplan", db_url", CLUSTER)" ?

 

still, on the #!define DBURL "mysql://.........." i can not use clustering right?
