Ya, I tried to do this, and you're much better off using FreeSWITCH or another B2BUA.

In this flow like endpoint -> B2BUA 1-> kamailio -> B2BUA 2, there is a requirement that REFER should be handled by Kamailio and it should manage the transfer , initiating a new invite based on REFER.

 

Any pointer will be helpful
