libpurple is included with pidgin and is available @ http://www.pidgin.im

the module has been tested with libpurple 2.5.2 from the same version of pidgin :

another point, for MSN, I suggest to install msn-pecan plugin for libpurple :

http://code.google.com/p/msn-pecan/

I used version 0.0.16 : http://msn-pecan.googlecode.com/files/msn-pecan-0.0.16.tar.bz2

libpurple library? I did not found in my package management on a first
glance. And what version do i need?
