readline.h is located at 

/usr/include/readline/readline.h

And libreadline*.so* are present at 

/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libreadline.so.7
/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libreadline.so.7.0
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libreadline.so

Can you locate where readline.h and libreadline*.so* files are installed on your system? We can add the paths to the makefile of the kamcmd.
