i noticed the same and sent email to devel list about it a few months
ago.  i didn't see any reaction and since the issue was not critical for
me, i didn't push it.

it would be nice if there would be some reaction to crash reports sent
to also to devel list.  once the problem has been confirmed, a
sourceforge ticket could then be issued in order to avoid trivial
invalid/closed messages on heavy to use sourceforge.
